Slide Sorter view

A window that displays thumbnail versions of all your slides, arranged in horizontal rows. This view is useful to make global changes to several slides at one time.

Slide Show View

The view used for presenting to an audience. The whole screen is taken over by your PowerPoint 2007 presentation.

Slide Master

The Slide Master controls the overall formatting and object placement for the presentation — font type, size, color, background color, graphics and certain special effects.

Slide Layout

A layout contains placeholders, which in turn hold text such as titles and bulleted lists and slide content such as tables, charts, pictures, shapes, and clip art.

Slide Design

(self-explanatory) The tool to choose the type of design for a slide in Microsoft Power Point.

Presentation

The practice of showing and explaining the content of a topic to an audience. A Program such as Microsoft Power point is often used to create the presentation content.

PlaceHolder

Placeholders are boxes with dotted borders that contain content and reside within a slide layout. All built-in slide layouts contain content placeholders.

Normal View

the main working window in the presentation.The slide is shown full size on the screen. This view is more commonly known as Slide View.

Exit Effect

an effect which plays when the object starts disappearing at the end of its duration

Clip Organizer

Clip Organizer arranges and catalogs clip art and other media files stored on your hard disk.

Thumbnails

Thumbnails are mini-sized pictures on a computer, used to help in recognizing and organizing them.

Thesaurus

As you may know a thesaurus is a book containing a list of synonyms. In MS word the thesaurus is a tool that shows you synonyms of the selected word.

Template

Templates are ready-made forms that include standard text and spaces to fill-in-the-blanks with standard information. Templates saves time since each person does not have to create the document format on their own.

A style is a set of formatting characteristics, such as font name, size, color, paragraph alignment and spacing. Some styles even include borders and shading.

Sizing handles

The sizing handle is a graphical indicator in a Graphical User Interface that allows users to click and drag on the indicator to resize the object.
